During the second test between India and South Africa on Day 2, we witnessed a rare incident on the field. Where Indian captain Rishabh Pant got angry at star bowler Kuldeep Yadav.
Indian test captain Rishabh Pant got angry at star bowler Kuldeep Yadav in the second test against South Africa. The reason for the skipper’s fuming was Kuldeep’s delay in delivering his over. His too long to start the over makes Pant upset.
This was not the only reason behind Pant’s anger, as some fielders were walking around casually on the ground. The umpire had already given a second warning to Rishabh for slow over-rate. If the Indian team got the third one, the result ended up gifting 5 runs to South Africa. That’s the reason the skipper shouted at Kuldeep to start his over quickly and players to focus on the game.
“Yaar, 30 seconds ka timer hai. Ghar pe khel rahe ho kya? Ek ball daal jaldi. (The timer is on. Are you playing at your home? Just bowl the ball quickly,†Pant was heard as saying on the stump mic.
“Yaar Kuldeep, dono baar warning le li (Kuldeep, we got the second warning)“. ”Pura ek over thodi na chahiye. Mazak bana rakha hai Test cricket ko (Do you guys need an entire over (to move)? You guys have made Test cricket a joke),” he added.
