Self-isolation is the keyword in the fight against coronavirus pandemic, and India captain Virat Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma have appealed everyone to follow the same.

In a video posted by Anushka and shared reshared by Kohli, the duo takes turn to speak, requesting everyone remain at home for everyone’s safety

“We all know we are going through a very difficult time,” Kohli said.

“And the only way to stop the spread of Coronavirus is by acting together,” followed Anushka.

“We are staying at home for our safety and for everyone else’s one,” Kohli revealed.

Anushka followed, by suggesting that, “…you should do it too to prevent the further spread of the virus.”

“Let’s make it safe for us and everyone else by self isolation,” said Kohli with Anushka concluding” stay at home and stay healthy.”

The number of reported coronavirus cases in India have zoomed to 206 on Friday morning with five reported deaths so far.

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the nation advising citizens to follow self-isolation and follow ‘junta curfew’ on March 22.

Kohli among other sportspersons echoed Modi’s appeal.

Globally, the number of infected has crossed 2,40,000 and reportedly more than 10,000 have died after contracting the disease.

Sports events have been cancelled or postponed with clamour growing to call-off Tokyo Olympics in light of the pandemic that has affected preparations and qualifying event.
