The Darren Sammy-led West Indies team arrived in Kolkata on Monday for the first of the two Tests against India in what is legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar's farewell series.

The opening Test would be played at the iconic Eden Gardens from Nov 6-10 before Tendulkar calls it a day at the end of the second match — the 200th Test of his career — at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Nov 14-18.

Surrounded by gun-toting commandos and security personnel, the Caribbean team boarded a bus and headed straight for the team hotel.
