The champion dance will stay etched in our memory for a good while. West Indies, the new champions of the slam bang world of T20, have showed everyone that they can come up victorious despite having problems with their board. West Indies captain Darren Sammy’s biting criticism about West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has taken the cricketing world by storm; taken aback, to be precise. Eventually, and fortunately for West Indian cricketers, the board has offered a common ground to resolve the perennial dispute and turn a new leaf. WICB president Dave Cameron will communicate with the players and ensure best players represent the West Indies.

“Coming up in May this year, the Board will host its annual review (retreat) with the players, WIPA, selectors and the technical team to review player, management and technical plans. We want to see how we can find common ground in ensuring that the best players in the region are available for selection for West Indies teams,” Cameron said in a statement. West Indian players alleged that they got no support from the board whatsoever and were disesteemed by the board officials. West Indies were the first team to win the ICC Cricket World twice (1975, 1979) and became the first time to win ICC World T20 twice (2012, 2016) last night. Achieving this feat show’s how prominent the West Indies are to the cricketing world. They dance as if there’s no tomorrow; in fact, they celebration style is unmatched. However, when Sammy’s comments about board burst into scenes, Cameron did not take it well and said it were “inappropriate”.
