West Indies legends’ names to be featured in the Regional Super50 trophy

Regional Super50, the re-branded version of the 50-over tournament in the Caribbean, will now feature names of six West Indies cricket legends.
The legendary skipper Clive Lloyd, who won two consecutive World Cups – in 1975 and 1970 — will have the winner’s trophy named in his honour.
Former captain and currently the manager of the West Indies team, Richie Richardson, will also have a trophy named after him. The Richie Richardson Trophy represents the most outstanding batsman; and the Curtly Ambrose Trophy is for the most outstanding bowler.
The Collin Kings Trophy will be given to the most outstanding all-rounder, and the best wicketkeeper will be awarded the Jeffrey Dujon Trophy.
The most outstanding fielder of the tournament will be given the Gus Logie Trophy, Antigua Observer reported.
The president of West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), Dr Julian Hunte stated that these six heroes are renowned ambassadors of the game and have represented the region with pride, discipline and distinction.
Hunte added that Lloyd was the revered leader of their team, which dominated the world for almost two decades.
