West Indies reached a score of 207 for the loss of six wickets at stumps on the opening day of the third and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday. Carlos Brathwaite and Denesh Ramdin were batting on scores of 35 (off as many deliveries) and 23 (off 72 balls) respectively. Nathan Lyon led from the front for the Australian bowlers, dismissing Kraigg Brathwaite (85 off 174 balls) and Jermaine Blackwood (10 off 29 balls) while conceding 68 runs. The day was marred by rain for the most part, with the two sides losing out on 15 overs of play, as dark skies loom over the remainder of the Test. West Indies earlier won the toss and chose to bat, making the major change of replacing Rajendra Chandrika with Shai Hope to open the innings alongside Brathwaite. Australia, on the other hand, had announced their team a day before the start of the day’s play, with Stephen O’Keefe coming in place of Peter Siddle, whose fitness was under question ahead of the series finale. O’Keefe is currently playing second Test, having made his debut against Pakistan in the 2014-15 tour of UAE. UPDATES: Australia vs West Indies 2015-16, 3rd Test at Sydney, Day 1
