Gary Ballance was out for a painstaking 46-ball 10 in the first Test between England and West Indies at North Sound, Antigua. After the early losses of Jonathan Trott and Alastair Cook, Ballance and Ian Bell looked to consolidate. However, Ballance ended up edging Jason Holder to Darren Bravo after scratching around painfully. Trott was out for a three-ball duck on Test comeback, while Cook scratched around for 11. Trott, who was making his comeback, could only last three balls before edging Jerome Taylor behind to Darren Bravo at slip. The former No. 3 was promoted to open the innings, but was unable to make an impact. Live Updates: England tour of West Indies 2015, 1st Test at Antigua Day One

On the other hand, Cook scratched around a little, hitting one boundary in his 28-ball 11. He was bowled off the inside edge, looking to drive Kemar Roach down the ground. England were left reeling at 22 for two, with Gary Ballance and Ian Bell in the middle. Live Scorecard: England tour of West Indies 2015, 1st Test at Antigua Day One
