Moeen Ali has been rested for the three Twenty20 Internationals against West Indies and joins Ben Stokes and Jos Butter, who will sit out in England’s last leg of the Caribbean tour.

According to a report in ESPNCricinfo on Tuesday, Moeen, who will fly home after the fifth and final ODI on March 2, has been given rest so that he’s fresh for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) which gets underway on March 23. Moeen was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while Stokes and Buttler will play for Rajasthan Royals this season.

Sam Curran, who became the highest overseas cricketer with a Rs. 7.20 price tag, was sold to the Kings XI Punjab, was not part of the limited-overs squad.

Meanwhile, the ODI series stands levelled at 1-1. The fourth ODI at Grenada was abandoned due to rain which makes the encounter on March 2 a virtual final.
