India Yuzvendra Chahal was well deserved ‘Player of the Match’ in the 2nd ODI not only for his three-wicket haul but also for some unseen variations he delivered. Coming with immense success from IPL 2016 as leading wicket-taker, Chahal is continuing the same for the national side as well. He came up with different variations when he played against Zimbabwe in 2nd ODI at Harare on Monday. In his second over, Sibanda was on strike that started off with a dot ball. Chahal went for a googly and was mistimed that went for no-ball and in turn was declared free-hit. To ensure Zimbabwe did not go for a big shot, Chahal changed his variation with speed of 109 kmp-mark that worked in visitor’s favor giving him away just a single, just like a pacer. India’s bowling looked in command with Chahal leading the pack of boys with 3 scalps to his name with two consecutive wickets of Sikandar Raza and Elton Chigumbura by 26th over. He not only broke the steady partnership of 68-run stand between Vusi Sibanda and Raza. He later continued his strong form picking third wicket for India of Sibanda for 53.

It is quite hard to predict how Dhoni will think but going by history he might spring in a surprise and include a cluster of changes in the playing XI for India. It would do a world of goods for a young blooded Indian side if they achieve an ODI whitewash. Zimbabwe on the other hand will look to finish the series with their pride intact after two poor outings.
