In the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup, Pakistan’s opening batsman Sameer Minhas once again showcased his batting prowess. He scored a century against India, his second of the tournament. He had previously scored 177 runs against Malaysia.

Sameer Minhas completed his century in just 71 balls, reaching the milestone with a boundary. His innings included 12 fours and four sixes. He is now second on the list of fastest centuries in the Under-19 Asia Cup. The record for the fastest century belongs to Vaibhav Suryavanshi (56 balls).

Who is Sameer Minhas?

Right-handed batsman Sameer Minhas hails from Multan, Pakistan. He was born on December 2, 2006. Cricket runs in his family. His brother, Arafat Minhas, has played Under-19 cricket for Pakistan and was part of the team in the 2024 World Cup. Left-arm spinner Arafat Minhas made his international debut for the Pakistan senior team in 2023, playing his first match against Hong Kong in a T20. Arafat also performed well for Pakistan, but he was later dropped from the team.
