Explosive Indian opener Virender Sehwag says he is working hard on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and will only return to action when he is 100 percent fit.

Talking to reporters in a promotional event, Sehwag said, “I am feeling better. I took one more injection and hope to be fine in the coming seasons.”

He added, “I am working hard on my fitness and expect to be fit soon. I feel some pain in my shoulder while throwing the ball. I will play only when I am 100 percent fit.”

The dashing opener also said that many Indian cricketers backed Sachin Tendulkar to put his proposal of One-Day Internationals to be split in four innings.

“Many of us welcomed Sachin s proposal and backed him to share it with the International Cricket Council (ICC). But at the end of the day ICC make and change rules and they will accept it if they are fine with it,” he added.

Sehwag missed most of the England tour due to the shoulder injury, on which he had a surgery in London.
