Despite opener Punam Raut’s 51-ball 52, India Red could only manage 127 for seven in chase of the target of 132. For India Blue, Poonam Yadav picked three wickets giving away 25 runs her four overs while Radha Yadav returned two for 20 her her four.

Earlier, after being put in to bat first, India Blue were buoyed by openers D Hemalatha’s 56-ball 48 and Vanitha VR’s 25-ball 28. In the middle-order wicketkeeper-batswoman Taniya Bhatia made 28 off 17.

India international Shikha Pandey returned two for 16 in her four overs for India Red. In reply, Raul and fellow opener Deepti (45 off 44) combined for 87 runs in 14.3 overs, but rest of the batting failed to register double-digit scores.
