This win marked UP Warriorz’s first of the season, propelling them up the points table.

Choosing to field first, UP Warriorz displayed a disciplined bowling performance, restricting Mumbai Indians to a total of 161/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The bowling attack, spearheaded by the experienced pair of Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Poonam Yadav, choked the run flow and picked up wickets at regular intervals. Despite a valiant effort from Hayley Matthews, who smashed a 47-ball 55, the UP bowlers kept things tight, with Gayakwad and Yadav grabbing two wickets each.

The architect of their victory was the explosive Kiran Navgire, who played a scintillating knock of 57 runs off just 31 deliveries.
