Wriddhiman Saha attained a new high during the first match of the three-Test series between India and South Africa at Cape Town. Saha took as many as 10 catches five in the first innings and five in the second. The previous record, by an India, was held by Nayan Mongia (8 catches).

Saha also became only the third wicketkeeper, after Gilchrist and Russell, to take five dismissals in each innings.
