Younis Khan, on Friday became the first Pakistan fielder to take 100 catches in Test cricket. Younis achieved the feat when he caught Rangana Herath in the slips off the bowling of Abdur Rehman on Day Two of the second Test against Sri Lanka at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC), Colombo.
Younis came in to this match with 99 catches to his name. Pakistan haven’t had a great fielding side and the numbers reflect as Younis was the first to achieve 100 catches in Tests. There were many other slip fielders who performed well. Inzamam-ul-Haq and Javed Miandad had a safe pair of hands in the slip cordon. Below is a list of Pakistan fielders with most catches
No. | Fielder | M | Catches |
1 | Younis Khan | 91* | 100 |
2 | Javed Miandad | 124 | 94 |
