In the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, Robin Uthappa had decided to chase the target in 15.2 overs to secure the second place for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clawed their way back into the game with a couple of crucial blows. In the 10th over of the innings bowled by Karn Sharma.

The prolific Uthappa stepped down the wicket and smacked a huge six in the deep mid-wicket region and he was dismissed after going for one shot too many. Yusuf Pathan smashed 22 of a Parevez Rasool over and then Karn Sharma faced his wrath after being hit for two more sixes. There were a couple of comical drop catches

Hyderabad started the innings in style with David Warner pulling the first ball from Morne Morkel through fine-leg for a four. Morkel hit back with a beautiful delivery, which was pitched up and it hit the top of off-stump. Morkel was brilliant in his first spell. He got a few to climb awkwardly off a length and leave the batsmen at some pace. Though he was taken for a few runs, it doesn’t quite reflect the way he bowled on the day.
