KKR were off to flying start with their opening pair Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir taking the center stage. Uthappa was off the mark with three boundaries in first over withwith Bhuvneshwar Kumar opening attack for SRH. Gambhir, on the other hand, seemed to be low in confidence for this outing with ones and twos, giving maximum exposure to Uthappa. Just when Uthappa provided good start to KKR, he was gone for 25 off 17. It was rather an unlucky day for him as he was gone too soon with Brainder Sran providing the first breakthrough for SRH. Kane Williamson caught it at the backward point breaking the important pair. Another interesting part to this match was, Williamson also bowled an over within the Powerplay that cost him heavily.

Gambhir was next in target, although he had just one boundary to his name. KKR were also low in target as they reached the 50-runs mark by only 7th over. Within the 8th over, Hooda was called into attack and he was on target grabbing Gambhir for 16 off 15 with Moises Henriques getting a comfortable catch. Munro, called as replacement for Morne Morkel was called in at No.3. He was off the mark as well with couple of boundaries to his name and was shown way out as he was dismissed by Hooda in 6th over, gaining his second wicket with keeper Naman Ojha grabbing it on time.

Pandey might not have been off the mark on the spot, he did catch up the pace with a stunning six towards long on when Karn Sharma was into attack in the beginning of 9th over. Pandey could have exited soon with chances of run out at start of 11th over, when he just made into the crease on time having Mustafizur Rahman coming to attack. After Pandey’s dismissal, wickets kept tumbling with likes of Jason Holder and Shakib-Al Hasan.

Earlier, SRH won the toss and opted to field first. SRH and KKR made few changes to their side with Kuldeep Yadav and Munro coming for this must-win match replacing Morne Morkel, Piyush Chawla respectively. While, SRH have got back Williamson replacing Eoin Morgan.
