BCCI have made the infamous Yo-Yo tests mandatory in an attempt to ensure that only fittest players are available for the national selection. Captain Virat Kohli has laid emphasis on fitness and several careers maybe consumed in process. According to reports in Sportskeeda, Yuvraj Singh has failed the test again and this could mean that his international comeback could be in jeopardy. According to BCCI sources, Yuvraj took the test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore on Tuesday. The benchmark set was 16.1 and Yuvraj reportedly missed by a small margin.

Yuvraj, along with Suresh Raina, had failed in the test earlier as well, and were not included in the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka. The team went on to whitewash Sri Lanka 5-0 in ODIs and 1-0 in T20Is.

Cheteshwar Pujara took the test along with Yuvraj, and he passed. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin too announced on Twitter that he had successfully completed the test.

BCCI may set a deadline for the 35-year-old within which he could reappear for the test. If Yuvraj continues to fail, his international career may well be termed as over. However, you never say no with Yuvraj, and he has a knack of turning the tables and springing surprises.
