Yuvraj Singh flies to England to treat his lung tumour

The 31-year-old cricketer was confirmed with a lung tumour in October 2011, as the third biopsy report confirmed a golf-ball-sized lump on the cricketer’s left lung which was non-malignant.

A source close to Yuvraj said, “We are waiting for another biopsy report and he will be seeing an oncologist (Dr Anderson Nicholan) in London.”

“We await the results of further tests and don t know whether he will need to undergo chemotherapy,” was quoted as saying by the Deccan Chronicle.

Sources said that BCCI might pay for his expenses. Fans are worried for Yuvraj as he hasn t updated his Twitter account for quite some days now.

A few close friends of the ‘Player of the tournament’ of ICC 2011 World Cup knew about his condition.

Shabnam Singh, Yuvraj s mother, who is believed to be very close to the cricketer will not be accompanying him for the treatment to Engalnd.
