India s star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who underwent treatment for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, took a giant leap towards his comeback to international cricket by playing his first practice match on Wednesday.

“Finally played my first practice game after 8 months! Got 47 of 70 balls bowled 5 overs fielded 30 overs! Not bad for a start !!,” an elated Yuvraj shared his happiness with his followers on Twitter.

A few days ago, Yuvraj, who has been training hard to attain fitness, was included him in the 30-member squad for T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, the Player of the Tournament of ICC 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj has decided to pen down the story of his battle with the dreadful disease.

Titled ‘Different Form , the memoir will be released on December 12 by Random House India.

Yuvraj has also launched a nationwide campaign ‘YouWeCan , in order to generate awareness about the disease.
