Yuvraj Singh, who scored a paltry 23 runs in the first round match of Ranji Trophy 2015-16 match against Railways failed to shine in today’s match against Mumbai as well. He was looking good in this match when he came to the middle but played a reckless shot and got out. He hit two sweetly timed fours in his innings of 13 runs in this match before getting caught by AP Tare on the bowling of BS Sandhu. Yuvraj has lately not been in good touch. He did not perform well in the last T20I World Cup as well. Although, he was player of the tournament of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, his form dipped after the mega event. It was not just batting form but Yuvraj also had to contend with cancer. Let’s hope he plays well in the coming matches of Ranji Trophy. Yuvraj Singh: Sachin Tendulkar told me about importance of enjoying the game
Yesterday, Yuvraj said that Sachin Tendulkar inspired him to enjoy the game and that he will keep playing till the time he enjoys cricket. Yuvraj had also blasted out at the crowd present at the T20I match against South Africa in Cuttack. He said that spectators need to show sportsmanship. Yesterday the left-hander was quoted as saying âMumbai has always been a consistent side. Whether they start well or donât, they always land up in the last four. They have won the competition more than 35 times and itâs a big opportunity for us to do well here. Punjab has always done well here. We had a very good start. Got seven points want to capitalise on that.” Yuvraj Singh: Gurkeerat Singh would be missed in Ranji Trophy 2015-16 match against Mumbai
