Zimbabwe bowl in must-win tie against Bangladesh

Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza won the toss and elected to bowl in their tri-nation Twenty20 international match against Bangladesh in Chittagong on Wednesday.

Bangladesh handed debuts to batsman Nazmul Hossain and allrounder Aminul Islam, while Shafiul Islam also returned for a home side with three changes following their 25-run loss to Afghanistan in the previous match.

“Batting first will give us freedom. Important is how well we start with the bat but it’s normally a high-scoring ground and batsmen love playing here. We have got proper five bowlers and some occasional bowlers as well. We don’t have a target in mind. We will see after three overs what total to look for,” Shakib Al Hasan said after the toss.

Zimbabwe lost to Bangladesh and Afghanistan in their first two matches.

“Hamilton Masakadza: We are not sure about the dew, so we want to bowl first. The key is to get a start at the top but I think the guys were going too hard. Anything around the 160-mark should be good,” said skipper Hamilton Masakadza.
