Zimbabwe surrender meekly against mighty South Africa; set target of 166

Zimbabwe folded for 165 against South Africa in third One-Day International (ODI) at Bulawayo. None of the batsman, except skipper Elton Chigumbura and Sikandar Raza showed any resistance. Barring a miracle, the match looks to have clear victors in South Africa.

At one point, Zimbabwe were 119 for the loss of nine wickets, but Chigumbura let himself lose and cleared the boundary with ease to salvage a little pride for the hosts.

Credit has to be given to South Africans too who showed no signs of complacency after victories in the first two One-Day Internationals (ODIs). All the bowler chipped in with wickets, and Kyle Abbott and Wayne Parnell took two wickets each.

This is an impressive performance considering the visitors were without the likes of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Vernon Philander. Hashim Amla, who scored a century in the first ODI of the series, has also been rested for this match.
