South Africa were 126 for the loss of one wicket at the end of 25 overs in the first ODI of their three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Hashim Amla was batting on 45, and Faf du Plessis was batting on 8.

Quinton De Kock started things in style for the visitors, and dispatched the Zimbabwean bowler for boundaries with ease before being dismissed at 63 by John Nyumbu. He was helped by Hashim Amla, who played the anchor role. Prosper Utseya was the only Zimbabwean bowler who managed to be economical.

After the series, Zimbabwe and South Africa will also play a triangular series which will feature Australia as the third competing nation.
