Adelaide Oval awash with tributes to Phil Hughes
Tributes continue to be poured at the Adelaide Oval for Phil Hughes, where India and Australia will play the first Test from December 9.
Hughes was struck by a short ball on the lower back of his head during the Sheffield Shield match at Sydney. He was instantly rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital and underwent neurosurgery. However, two days later he was taken off life support, as he never regained consciousness.
Since then numerous tributes have been poured for the late southpaw, including the #putoutyourbats movement, which saw people around the world put their bats outside the homes and at cricket grounds.
Hughes funeral was carried on last Wednesday at his hometown Macksville, in front of 5000 people.
