Asia Cup 2025: Andy Pycroft himself will be referee for Super 4s between India and Pakistan

The International Cricket Council have released that Andy Pycroft has been the assigned match referee for the Asia Cup Super 4 match between India and Pakistan.

“Andy Pycroft is the match referee for Indo-Pak game,” a tournament source told PTI.
Apart from Andy, the list of the match officials for Sunday’s game has not yet been declared.

Andy Pycroft was the match referee last Sunday when India as their policy did not shake hands with Pakistan or have any involvement in celebrations with the team, where Andy Pycroft found himself as the centre of controversy.

Pakistan team send two mails to the ICC, first one was requesting Andy to be removed from the tournament, and the second one requesting him to not be a part of their games only. However, both their demands were straight-up rejected by the cricket’s governing body.
