Indian team dropped a total of 5 catches in Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup 2025 against Bangladesh and secured their name in an embarrassing record.
With a solid batting performance, the Indian team put a total of 168 runs on the board. However, when it came to fielding, it was a nightmare as there were five instances when catches were dropped throughout Bangladesh’s innings.
Saif Hasan, who kept Bangladesh’s innings alive with his 51-ball 69, was dropped four times- at a score of 40 by Axar Patel, 65 and 66 by Shivam Dube, then at 67 by Sanju Samson. Nasum Ahmed was later dropped by Kuldeep Yadav.
This was the first time that the Indian team dropped four catches of a single batter in a T20I innings. Apart from that, the Men in Blue have in total dropped a total of 12 matches throughout their campaign in the Asia Cup 2025.
