Let's have a recap about that clash. This match was played between India and Afghanistan on 8 September 2022.

Afghanistan had won the toss and opted to bowl first, which turned out to be a bad decision for the team. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli had come out to the field and added 119 runs on the board. Rahul scored 62 runs from his side, while Kohli stood strong on the other end. Virat then partnered with Rishabh Pant and helped the team post 212/2 on the board.

Virat Kohli scored 122 runs on the board, which is the highest score in the Asia Cup T20 format. Fareed Ahmad was the only wicket-taking bowler from the opposing team, as he bagged two wickets in four overs.

Afghanistan were clearly in serious pressure when they began their chase. They had lost four of their wickets while scoring just 9 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the one who took the first four wickets, and then later secured another success.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the wicket of Hazratullah Zazai on the fourth ball of the game, after which he bowled out Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the sixth ball of the match.
