Asia Cup 2025: Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft appointed Head panel of Match officials
For the Asia Cup 2025, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced that Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft will head the panel of officials.

The Asia Cup 2025 begin September 9 (Tuesday [tomorrow]), and the commentary panel will include likes of Ravi Shastri and other Indian legends. Apart from the commentary panel, seasoned match referees Richie Richardson and Andy Pycroft are going to head the panel of officials for the tournament.
On Monday (September 8 [today]), the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) confirmed these match referees being appointed for the group stage of the tournament. The umpiring calen includes India’s Virender Sehwag and Rohan Pandit, along with Sri Lankan duo of Raveendra Wmalasiri and Ruchira Palliyagurure.
Other umpires for the group stage are Afghanistan’s Ahmad Pakteen and Izatullah Safi, Pakistan’s Asif Yaqoob and Faisal Afridi, and Bangladesh’s Gazi Sohel and Masudur Rahman.
Andy Pycroft is also going to serve as the match referee for the highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan match- set to be held on September 14 in Dubai. Apart from Pycroft, Ruchira Palliyagurure and Masudur Rahman will be the on-field umpires for the encounter.
