Despite being close to playoff qualification, Gujarat Titans have been hit with bad news in the middle of IPL 2025 as their star player has been ruled out.
Gujarat Titans pacer Kagiso Rabada has exited IPL 2025.
Gujarat Titans star pacer Kagiso Rabada exited the 18th edition of the IPL a month ago and returned home, with the franchise citing 'personal reasons' as the reason.
Kagiso Rabada has been suspended for using recreational drugs.
However, South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada later revealed that he left due to a 'provisional suspension' linked to the use of recreational drugs.
Kagiso Rabada issued a statement
"As has been reported, I recently returned to South Africa from participating in the IPL, for personal reasons. This was due to my returning an adverse analytical finding for the use of a recreational drug. I am deeply sorry to all those that I have let down. I will never take the privilege of playing cricket for granted. This privilege is much larger than me. It goes beyond my personal aspirations. I am serving a provisional suspension and I am looking forward to returning to the game I love." Rabada revealed
