South Africa middle-order batter, Dewald Brevis AKA ‘Baby AB’. The batter helped the team to level the series 1-1 against Australia with the 53-runs win.
Brevis achieved a great milestone in the early stage of his career as he became the youngest South African batter to score a T20I century and the second-fastest to achieve the feat for the Proteas in Men’s T20Is.
After his great performance against Australia, South Africa legend pacer Dale Steyn dropped the F-bomb on social media while the knock of the ‘Baby AB'(Dewald Brevis).
South African legend pacer, Dale Steyn praised the brilliant knock of the young batsman, Dewald Brevis in the 2nd T20I against Australia. “Brevis is the real f***** deal” Steyn said on his X.
Dewald Brevis showed proper intent while batting and started hitting the shots for his team. He played an innings of 125 runs off just 56 balls with 12 fours and massive 8 sixes.
His knock was also the highest score against Australia in T20Is. He surpassed Ruturaj Gaikwad’s record of 123 runs in the year 2023. His innings, is also the highest individual score in T20Is on Australian soil.
