Deborah Kirsten’s book to hit South African bookstalls on Valentine’s Day

Deborah Kirsten, wife of former South African cricketer Gary Kirsten is all set to launch her book. The book is expected to hit the South African bookstalls on February 14, which is the Valentine’s Day, and also marks the start of the cricket World Cup.

In her book ‘Chai Tea and Ginger Beer’, Deborah shares the untold story of her childhood in a small village to her unexpected journey as being wife of a celebrated cricketer Gary Kirsten, who also became a successful coach later on, helping India win the World Cup in 2011.

Deborah choose Twitter to share her feelings regarding her book and also thanked cricketers Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers, who appreciated her book.

A successful journalist and also a mother of three, she explains her highs and lows with her husband Kirsten. Kirsten being a former cricketer, Deborah doesn’t hesitate to share her honest opinions of the pressurised circuit of cricket and also explains the reality of managing the social life.
