Dharmendra was popular in Pakistan? Former captain makes heartfelt tribute

Legendary Indian actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24, on which former Pakistan captain made a heartfelt tribute.

Legendary Indian actor Dharmendra unfortunately died on Monday (November 24), which has left all the fans of entire film industry shocked. However, the legendary actor was not only popular in India, but across the border in Pakistan as well.

Following Dharmendra’s death, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif paid a heartfelt tribute to the Bollywood icon and called him a global legend. “Dharmendra ji was a legendary hero, and Sholay remains an all-time classic. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy across the subcontinent and was immensely popular in Pakistan as well. My deepest condolences,” Latif told IANS.

Speaking about Dharmendra, he was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai and was on ventilator for some days. Even though he was showing signs of recovery and got discharged, the legendary actor passed away on Monday.

For his career that spans over six decades, Dharmendra got awarded the Padma Bhusan for his work- which is India’s third-highest civilian honour. Though he has passed away, he left a legacy in film industry that has shaped a couple of generations and a fanbase that only a few actors have ever generated.
