Explained: Why Jasprit Bumrah is not present against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash

For the Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka, India decided to put Jasprit Bumrah to rest. This might have been in order to keep him well-rested for the final against Pakistan.
At the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav mentioned that there have been two changes in the lineup with there being no place for Jasprit Bumrah along with Shivam Dube as Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh come in their place.
“We have two changes – Bumrah and Dube are out, Arshdeep and Harshit come in,” Suryakumar Yadav said after the toss. This move might be taken with the idea of keeping Bumrah and Shivam fresh for the final on September 28.
