Arshdeep Singh dismissed Vinayak Shukla in the last over of India’s innings. With this, he completed 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. Arshdeep Singh has taken 100 wickets in 64 T20 matches since 2022 at an average of 18.49. During this period, he bowled 222.2 overs and conceded a total of 1,849 runs.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya are jointly ranked second on this list. Chahal has played 80 matches in his T20 career, while Pandya has played 117 T20 matches so far. Jasprit Bumrah (92 wickets) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (90 wickets) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Rashid Khan holds the record for most wickets in T20I cricket.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan holds the record for most wickets in T20I cricket, having taken 173 wickets in 103 T20I matches. He is also the fastest bowler to reach 100 T20I wickets, achieving the mileston in just 53 matches.
India’s bowlers will now try to build on their momentum as they prepare for the Super Four stage, with the Pakistan match on September 21 looming as their biggest test so far. But for Arshdeep, the night was defined by a single delivery: the one that gave him his 100th wicket and cemented his place in Indian cricket history.
