Great news for Assam! Sports Minister reviewed Preparations for International cricket events in Guwahati

Assam Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Nandita Garlosa, has reviewed the preparations in Guwahati, that are being made for the upcoming international cricket events.

The two upcoming international events are the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and the second Test series between India and South Africa- which are set to be held in Guwahati in October and November respectively.

Nandita Garlosa was the chairman of the meeting, and she was attended by Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia, officials of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) and senior officials of the state’s sports department.

Guwahati is going to be one of the key venues for the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup- which is going to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. BCCI secretary said that four ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 matches were set to be held at the ACA Barsapara Cricket Stadium on September 30, October 3, 7 and 10.
