Great news for England ahead of the Ashes: Major update on Star player’s injury

Ahead of the Ashes, England star Chris Woakes has given a massive update on his injury. He dislocated his left shoulder while the recently-concluded Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

Against India in the recently-concluded Test series, Chris Woakes gave his last appearance. The England team is now going to play their next series against Australia in The Ashes. Before this tournament, Woakes has given a major update on his injury.

Chris Woakes got injured on his left shoulder while fielding in the London Test, where he even came out to bat at the last day with a single hand. During fielding, Chris Woakes dislocated his shoulder when he was fielding near the boundary and fell on his left side.

“Certainly good news for me. That’s the best way to look at it,” Woakes said. “Obviously out of the sling and feel like I can move it a lot better now, which is good two weeks down the line.


I suppose once you get a little bit more movement into it, feels a little bit more normal. But still a lot of work to do. Going to try and (stay) focused on the rehab and get it as strong as possible. Ideally not for surgery for now but we’ll see how that goes and hopefully we can get it nice and strong again.”

Throughout the India-England series, Chris Woakes bowled 181 overs and gave out 1086 runs. Speaking about the international career of Woakes, he has taken 192 wickets in 62 matches while averaging at 29.61
