Gujarat Lions vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2016, Qualifier 2: Likely XI comparison

The Qualifier 2 of the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League will be played between Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad atDelhi on Friday. It’s the penultimate game of the tournament and the winner will advance to the final to meet Royal Challengers Bangalore. GL suffered a tragic defeat in the Qualifier 1 at the hands of RCB and got a reprieve to battle it out once more in the Qualifier 2. SRH will once again bank on their batting and lethal pace bowling to bail them out in the crucial encounter. Yuvraj Singh has been in tremendous form and was hitting the ball neat which will give them a boost ahead of the crucial game. David Warner will look to make an impact and play a match winning knock to get his side off to a flying start. Their bowling has been a bit rusty but did a commendable job in their previous encounter as they defended a low total against a star studded side of KKR. They have a well-balanced side and will look to step up as a unit and wreck havoc at Delhi. GL, on the other hand lost a close encounter against RCB in the Qualifier 1 as they lost the battle after being on the brink of a scintillating victory. AB de Villiers lived up to his reputation and snatched an unbelievable victory only to get his side over the line. They have a dominant batting line up which can turn things around and Suresh Raina-led GL will certainly look for change of forthunes in their second reprieve.

Aaron Finch and Brendon McCullum at the top have not fired yet and will have to put up some runs and get their team to a good start. Dwayne Smith has been in tremendous form and will eye to continue. Dhawal Kulkarni was deadly in the last encounter and have been bwoling with tremendous confidence. They have a well-balanced side and the encounter between these two will be a mind boggling one.
