Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 105 runs to start their World Cup campaign in style.
Cricket has always been like a religion to many countries and when it comes to the subcontinent, it certainly is. It was Bangladesh’s first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and the Almighty was called upon frantically.
A fan was captured on camera by Matt King of Getty Images while praying in a stairwell during the Bangladesh and Afghanistan match at Manuka Oval in Canberra, Australia on Wednesday.
His prayers paid off as Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 105 runs to start their World Cup campaign in style, going to the number three position in the points table of Pool A.
