ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: John Raynor takes the seventh one-handed ‘Catch-a-million’

The entire ICC Cricket World Cup 2105 has been a festive time for New Zealand cricket fans and apart from their team’s fabulous show in the competition, the Tui Brewery’s ‘Catch a millions’ contest gave them another reason to flock at the stadiums. (READ: New Zealand vs West Indies, fourth quarter-final match in Wellington in caricatures)

 

The festive time continued throughout the West Indian bowling on Saturday as Martin Guptill lit-up the Westpac Stadium with a magical double hundred that included 11 gigantic sixes. (READ: Martin Guptill scores the highest ever ICC Cricket World Cup score: Twitter reactions)

 

Tui Brewery Ltd, are running a contest called the ‘Catch a Million’ all through the World Cup matches in New Zealand and it has been a smash hit. Raynor, a cricket coach, was at the ground with his family and before he took the catch, he told his wife that McCullum might play the hook shot. Spectators who take a one-handed catch share a prize pool with the others. If New Zealand lift their maiden World cup, Tui will up the prize pool to $1,000,000.
