Speaking about the topic Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla stated that he believes all the players should have faced the poisoning if the food would have been the issue, and placed his firm belief that the infection has come from somewhere else.

As per reports, four players from Australia A team have been diagnosed with stomach infection, including captain Jack Edwards. Pacer Henry Thornton was the first one to have suffered this issue and his health worsened with severe stomach infection.

Koi kami hai toh saare khilaadi ko beemar ho jaana chahiye. Wahan ka sabse accha hotel Landmark hai, usi ka khaana unko khilaaya jaa raha hai. Wahan toh accha khaana rehta hai, saare log vahi kha rahe hain. Toh unke khaane ki suvidha Landmark se hee hai. Idhar-udhar se koi infection aa gaya hoga (If there’s any shortage, all the players should be sick. The Landmark is the best hotel there, and they’re being fed food from that hotel. There’s good food there, and everyone is eating there. So, their food is available from Landmark. Some infection might have come from somewhere else), ” Rajeev said in a video posted by IANS.
