Although Hardik Pandya tried to break the shackles, SRH’s tight bowling did not let Hardik have a swing like the one he had during his 34-ball 91-run blitz against Kolkata Knight Riders and he was dismissed for 18. @BCCI

SRH began on a bright note as Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill scored at a brisk. However, MI managed to pull back the things as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed both the SRH openers – Saha for 25 and Guptill for 15. SRH, meanwhile, managed to score 59 runs in the powerplay in the chase of 163. @BCCI

The spin-bowling duo of Krunal and Rahul Chahar kept the things tight in the middle overs as the two conceded just 43 runs from their eight overs. Manish Pandey, meanwhile, continued his good run of form and notched up his third fifty of IPL 2019. While the rest of the batsmen from SRH middle-order struggled, Pandey dealt with the pace and spin with ease and kept alive SRH’s hopes even as MI kept the things tight. However, as it happened on the first two occasions when he had scored fifties, his third fifty too ended up in a losing cause. @BCCI

While it was not a big total that they were chasing in the Super Over, it was not that an easy task for MI to score nine runs, with Rashid bowling the Super Over. However, Hardik ended SRH’s hopes as he hit the Afghan leg-spinner for a six on the first ball and MI then knocked off the remainder three runs in two balls to seal a win and a place in the playoffs. @BCCI
