India have had an unbeaten run in Asia Cup 2025 so far, and are the favourites to win the tournament. The title deciding clash is going to be against Pakistan.
The Asian Cricket Council planned this tournament fixture so that the two teams face each other for a maximum number of three times if they perform to the best of their abilities. India have defeated Pakistan twice so far, and will be aiming to keep the record this way to secure the final win.
In the first clash against Pakistan, Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball with a three-wicket haul- keeping Pakistan to a score of 127/9 in their 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav built the stepping stone for the team, with significant contribution from Tilak Varma- leading the team to a victory.
During the second match, which was in the Super 4 stage, Abhishek Sharma once again starred with the bat. Abhishek scored 74 off 39 balls, accompanied by great contribution from Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma once again- leading to another comfortable victory.
Now speaking about the final, India are no doubt the favourites to defeat Pakistan and keep their Asia Cup title. Though the winning spree of the Men in Blue was in a close contest by Sri Lanka. The match ended up in a tied score of 202 runs (highest score in the tournament so far), where the Suryakumar Yadav-led side gained the upper hand and sealed the victory.
