India and Pakistan are going to face each other in the Women's World Cup at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. However, there is a chance of rain spoiling the match.

1 /1

This neutral venue case is because of the fact that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have made arrangements that they would face each other in multi-national events only at neutral venues- since they would not not travel to each other because of tensions between the two nations. However, the weather might pose a threat to the teams.

As per Accuweather.com, rain is expected in Colombo throughout the day. During the day, there is a 100% chance of rainfall and would last for as long as two hours. During the night, this probability reduces to 61%, which is still significant with 1 and a half hour of pouring. This might result in a delay in the match.

If this situation happens, there is a chance that the match might get reduced to a less than 50-over-a-side match. There is also a chance of rain completely washing out the match. The Australia vs Sri Lanka match in Colombo was also washed out.
