India U19: Why Vaibhav Suryavanshi was ‘not considered’ for selection? BCCI reveals

The BCCI recently announced India A and B U19 squads for upcoming triangular series, where Vaibhav Suryavanshi was ignored. Now the cricket board has shared the reasons behind their decision.
Among significant names, 14-year-old superstar batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was one who got ignored, as he was not named in either of the squads for the upcoming triangular series. Now, the BCCI has opened up about their reasons to exclude the youngster, who has made a strong name of himself in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
“Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not considered for selection as he is picked for the India A squad for the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup,” BCCI stated in their official release while speaking about omission of Vaibhav.
It is worth noting that promising player Ayush Mhatre was also not selected for the triangular series, since he is currently with Mumbai team that is participating in the Ranji Trophy.
Speaking about the triangular series, it will begin November 17 with IND U19 A vs IND U19 B match. The final is going to be played on November 30, and the entire series will take place at BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
