Indian team's assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate has revealed that a solid call on star pacer Jasprit Bumrah playing in the second Test against England is going to be made in the next 24 hours.

There are growing calls for wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav to be named in the playing XI, but to keep the depth in batting lineup, Washington Sundar is also in the mix-up to work alongside Ravindra Jadeja.

During training sessions, Jasprit Bumrah- who is going to play three out of the five Tests in the series, in order to manage his workload- had a two-coloured (red and white) ball at the starting of the training session, and only moved to the Dukes ball by the end of the session.

Throughout the training session, Jasprit Bumrah barely bowled three overs. However, his pace-bowling teammates Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep and Prasidh Krishna bowled significantly lot more overs.

"He's available for the game obviously. We know from the start he's only going to play three out of the five. He's had eight days to recover from the last test. But given conditions and workload and how we think we can best manage for the next four games, we haven't made a call on that. We're going to see what the other guys are with their workload as well,” said Doeschate.

"If we feel like there's value in playing him in this Test, we'll make that call at the very last minute. But I'm talking about weather, how the pitch is going to play. Are we better off holding him back for Lord's and maybe Manchester or the Oval? So it's all those factors," he added.
