Is this a comeback for Prithvi Shaw ? Raising questions after his innings for Maharashtra

Prithvi Shaw scored his first century for Maharashtra against Chhattisgarh in the Buchi Babu Tournament off just 122 deliveries.
Prithvi Shaw played his competitive match for Maharashtra and scored a century against Chhattisgarh off 122 deliveries. While his teammates were suffering due to the challenging surface. However, he completed his hundred in the 44th over with a boundary which included 14 fours and a six. Shaw stood on the strike with a good approach and patience.
After getting unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in 2025. Prithvi Shaw was asked to focus on his fitness and play more domestic cricket. After that, Shaw switched to Maharashtra to revive his career and gain more opportunities.
In the match, Maharashtra started a good innings of 71 runs without loss. However, they couldn’t maintain the same as they lost 4 wickets for a score of 86 runs. Maharashtra’s skipper Ruturaj Gaikward failed to score and went to the pavilion for just one.
However, Prithvi Shaw took the charge and single-handedly scored 75 percent runs for the team in the first two seasons and gave them a great knock. Shaw was dropped from the Mumbai Ranjhi in the last season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 in December 2024.
This milestone came just a day after his former Mumbai teammate, Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant century for the Mumbai against TNCA XI in the same tournament.
