Former Indian player Viremder Sehwag's son Aryavir Sehwag made his debut for Central Delhi Kings in the Delhi Premier League.
However, the son of the legendary Indian player Virender Sehwag. Aryavir, playing for Central Delhi Kings, he scored 22 runs from 16 balls, including two back to back fours against India pacer Navdeep Saini.
Aryavir also revealed that he got this precious chance to debut in the Delhi Premier League against East Delhi Riders only because of Yash Dhull as he is busy in the Duleep trophy starting on August 28.
“After the last game [I got to know that I will play the next one],” said Aryavir during a media conference. “I took that catch in the previous match. After the game ended, Jonty [Sidhu] bhaiyya told me that I would play the next match,” he added.
Speaking on his debut, he said “It felt good. The first two boundaries gave me confidence and helped me settle in. But the innings wasn’t that long. I will try to stay longer in the middle next time,“
Aryavir also stated that he will always keep his father (Virender Sehwag) advice in his mind. “Absolutely. Jab father sahab bolenge to sunna to padega hi (I have to listen to my father),”. “We are aware that we are being monitored. The scouts have their eyes on us. But we don’t think about it too much, especially when we are on the field. We just focus on the game,” he added.
