Kagiso Rabada returns home as Temba Bavuma named South Africa captain for ODIs against India

Temba Bavuma is currently leading South Africa in Test format, and has been named as their captain for the upcoming ODI series against India.

Temba Bavuma is currently leading the South African Test team for a two-match Test series vs India, and is now named as the team captain in the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Men in Blue.

Quinton de Kock, who had recently come out of ODI retirement, has been named in the squad. It is also worth noting that premier pacer Kagiso Rabada will return home to recover from a rib injury that he sustained in a training session ahead of the ongoing Test series.

Quinton De Kock was recently named player of the ODI series against Pakistan after topping the chart with 232 runs from three innings that included a hundred and two fifties.

Though Quinton de Kock was taken for topping the table, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who was SA’s second highest run-getter in the away ODI series against Pakistan, was not included in the squad for India series.

India and South Africa are currently engaged in a two-match Test series, with the Proteas leading currently 1-0, and the teams will face-off in a three-match ODI series between November 30 to December 6.
