Australian batting legend Matthew Hayden has been the reason behind many bowlers’ nightmare. The burly Queenslander shouldered the responsibility of an effective opener for his team in every format during his playing days and was renowned for his ability to score runs at a brisk pace.

Post retirement, he has been spending quality time with his family. Hayden made his international debut in a One-Day International (ODI) match against England at Manchester in May 1993. In 103 Tests, Hayden averages 50.73 and 43.80 in 161 ODI outings. He holds the record for highest Test knock by an Australian for his captivating innings of 380 against Zimbabwe in October 2003. Hayden also represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
